WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Every family, business, school, and church has a culture. Your culture defines who you are, and who you are not. If we don't know who we are and where we are going, we will never know when we are actually being effective in what God has called us to do.
WE WILL NEVER STOP PURSUING THE LOST
When Jesus saw the one sheep wandering off, He went after them. He was always on mission to seek and save that which was lost. We will never settle or stop going after the ONE.
WE DON’T LET SMALL PROBLEMS BECOME BIG PROBLEMS
People can get under our skin, even in the church…especially in the church. We make it our aim to always address personal conflict quickly, and Biblically. We never want small offenses to become wildfires. So, we have tough conversations when needed, to bring reconciliation and peace. If you are looking for a place to gossip and slander, we’re not it.
WE’RE NOT INTERESTED IN FILLING ROOMS. WE’RE ABOUT ASSEMBLING THE BODY OF CHRIST.
There is a BIG difference between Assembling and Gathering. Here is an example: If I put all of the individual parts to a car in your garage, you would have gathered all the parts needed for a vehicle, but still have nothing to drive. But, if all of the individual parts were put together and assembled how they are supposed to, you would have a car ready to GO anywhere God sends us. That’s the picture of what the church should look like. Assembled and ready to move.
THE MISSION HASN’T CHANGED IN 2,000 YEARS
Jesus gave every believer a charge to make disciples. That hasn’t changed and never will. But, that’s going to take a lot of missionaries that are willing to do whatever it takes, how ever long it takes, to reach a world that needs Jesus. A missionary mindset means we lay down our titles, our agendas, and our personal preferences to meet the needs of people.
GOD IS INTENTIONAL AND SPECIFIC IN EVERYTHING HE CREATES
It is our belief that God created you with a specific set of gifts so that you could make a difference for His kingdom on the earth. We take that seriously. We want to always walk alongside people, but also push them forward towards discovering God’s individual and specific purpose for their life. This is a process, but always worth it.
THE BIBLE IS OUR AUTHORITY NO MATTER WHAT WE HAVE SEEN OR HEARD
Because we are a non-denominal church, we have people of so many different faith backgrounds. We understand that many people have seen or heard things about God that may or may not line up with His word. So, we choose to understand God’s desires and activities by reading the Bible, rather than just defaulting at what we have seen or heard. This takes more time, more study, but it leads to more intimacy with God that is real and lasting.
IT HAS TO GET FROM YOUR HEAD TO YOUR HEART
There is a BIG difference between knowing about God and knowing God. This is a life changing experience when He becomes personal and alive in your heart. When we begin to take the messages we hear, the discussions in groups, our prayer and worship into Thursday instead of leaving it in the chair on Sunday, this is where living for Jesus becomes real. We want to produce disciples that don’t just know it in their head, but live it in their world.
EVERY PERSON ON THE TEAM HAS A ROLE TO PLAY
In football, 11 people get together in a huddle. The coach calls the play in, the quarterback tells the team, and they all break the huddle to go and play their position. Every player has a different assignment on every play.
God is our coach, His word is our playbook, and we are all on the team and have a different position in the church to play. No position is greater or less than the next, they are all equally important and necessary for the team to win.
GOD HAS NEVER CREATED MEDIOCRE
When God spoke the world and all creation into existence, it was done with intentionality and excellence. He looked at all He created and said “It is good”. We want to have the same approach to all that we put our time and energy towards.
We want you to step into any environment at or lead by our church and see that it was thought out, prepared, and done with great care. We don’t aim to be perfect, but we do strive to do everything with excellence to honor God.
WE CHOOSE TO SHOW HONOR AND RESPECT
The last thing we want to do is waste people’s time or for them to feel under-appreciated and disrespected. One of the ways we strive to show value to you, is to be on time. Whether this is a Sunday morning, Bridge Group, counseling session, or anything in between – we will value you by valuing your time.
