COMING BACK TO CHURCH
WE'RE BACK, BABY!
9:30 & 11:15am - LIVESTREAM @ 9:30
HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
HERE IS AN OPEN LETTER FROM PASTOR ERIC TO THE CHURCH
Hey Bridge Family!
As you know, we are in unprecedented and confusing times. The mayors of the greater Phoenix area have made some decisions on public gatherings as it relates to social distancing and wearing masks. We want you to know what that means for gathering at church this Sunday.
We are so excited to continue meeting together! But, you will notice a few more changes as we do our best to "Love Our Neighbor", but still "Love God" through the gathering together to worship. Here is what you can expect:
1. WE WILL PRACTICE SOCIAL DISTANCING
I love seeing everyone and shaking hands, hugging, and being face to face after all theses months of isolation. But, we want to ensure the safety of everyone attending, and also prevent our church from having to close our doors again. Let's all do our best by being friendly with each other, and for now, using waves and big "Hello's" instead of physical contact.
2. USE HAND SANITIZING STATIONS
You will have to pass by one to get into any entrance to the Worship Center, or BridgeKidz. Please sanitize on the way in and out. We will continue to temperature check kids on the way in to BRIDGEkidz.
3. WEAR A MASK WHEN ENTERING AND EXITING AND WHILE IN LOBBIES
I could have never imagined any scenario where we would ask people to wear masks to church, but here we are. I would rather be at church with all of you than to close down and go back to online only. One way we can help ensure that we can continue to meet in person is if we choose to wear a mask FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. Once you are in your seat and can maintain social distancing, you can relax your mask. I am not ignorant to the truth that this will upset some, and at the same time relieve others. This is the best option given the new local government orders, as well as being responsible as we continue to gather in person.
4. STAY HOME IF ANYONE IS EXPERIENCING SYMPTOMS OR IS SUSCEPTIBLE
We have made a lot of changes this week to give you an incredible experience from home. You won't miss anything! You can watch live on Facebook or YouTube at 9:30am.
Family and Friends - I know that none if this is fun or ideal. Nobody would choose to go through the last few months or even the next few months this way...but we will not forsake the gathering of God's people, but we will also do it in a way that provides the safest possible experience. This is temporary. we will get through this, together!
We love you all and greatly appreciate your grace and understanding as we navigate this together. Hope to see you Sunday!
- Pastor Eric & Meagan
BRIDGEkidz - during 11:15am service
All of our KIDZ volunteers will be temperature checked and wearing masks for your safety. Kids will be required to sanitize their hands and have their temperature taken before coming in the kids building. If parents want to drop their kids off, great. If not, they can join in adult service. We will also transition to a disposable toy model as much as possible in the younger rooms (individual disposable packs of crayons and coloring papers). We have the ability to do additional spacing with extra rooms we have as well.
new seating arrangement
Our seating will be more spaced out and allow for distancing. This will limit our capacity to less than 100 chairs in each service. We will add more chairs as guidelines are loosened. We will also have overflow seating in the lobbies, or even outside if needed. We will ask that you allow for THREE chairs in between you and another family. It will look different at first, but it's not forever.
WILL IT BE CLEAN?
Our ENTIRE campus will be professionally cleaned before you step foot on our property, weekly. We will have a robust cleaning process in-between, and after services as well. There will be hand sanitizing stations available almost everywhere. If you have been to our church before, you know we are way ahead of the trend on this. We have taken cleanliness seriously since the day we opened.
what if i'm not ready to come back?
Can people stay home and still have a quality service? YES! We have made significant upgrades to our online livestream so that people can have a quality experience even if they continue to watch from home for a while. If you are at-risk or are not comfortable meeting in person, stay home! It's all good. We get it.
WILL IT ALWAYS BE LIKE THIS?
This plan is written in pencil not marker. We will have to adapt and change as we go along. Be ready to shift as we go if needed. Flexibility is a MUST for all of us. We haven't re-opened a church after a pandemic, and you haven't attended one after, either. Our goal isn't perfection, it's ushering in God's presence, giving excellence in all we do, having a genuine care for your safety, and reaching the lost and making disciples. We know that it is impossible to please everyone with our decisions. We ask that you have grace on us, as we have grace on you. We're in this together!
